DH10P Repair Pictorial
My bag containing my DH10P dropped on the floor, and for some reason the screen cracked on impact. It is really strange, because you can see the crack, but it is more of an internal crack, the crack occurs inside the LCD component itself. It is like having internal bleeding without having a cut on your screen. That weird.
I sent it to repair, and Sony quoted me a price of $357, while i bought the camera at only $350 through some very good deals. But too bad, I couldn't find the exact same deal, and I had been dreaming of owning this camera player for so long, I can't just bear to let it die. So repair it.
Got it back today, along with the old parts. WTF! They replaced a circuit board, a 1.3MP camera and a LCD screen(made by casio!) just because of a cracked LCD? Thats too much of an overkill. But oh well.. Enjoy the pics:
And if anybody need any of these components for their own DH10P, please mail me at tayweikiat (gmail). We can discuss.
Note: To non-MD users, these photos were taken using DH10P's 1.3MP camera. Amazed? What matters to photo quality is not the amount of resolution, but rather the quality of the camera, and the skills of the photograher. These photos were taken under very poor lighting conditions, and it is impossible to see anything without the flash from my DH10P, which is actually a super bright LED. Bear in mind that DH10P is not a proper camera, it is a Hi-MD audio player.
