The Lovers' Throne
In the lovers' throne,
the two difters drone,
silence and unseeing,
gobbled by gloom.
When the motion picture moves,
what that used to be aloof,
now shares a single room,
as light-years of differences disappears.
As brightness came into being,
and motion picture stalls,
they left the lovers' throne,
but their hearts never leave.
the two difters drone,
silence and unseeing,
gobbled by gloom.
When the motion picture moves,
what that used to be aloof,
now shares a single room,
as light-years of differences disappears.
As brightness came into being,
and motion picture stalls,
they left the lovers' throne,
but their hearts never leave.

A Poem of Drifters
Shall the drifters drift? - Tay Wei Kiat
When fate coincides,
of two souls outside,
life turned upside,
but future undecided.
The harsh reality of choice,
gives you a voice,
but in a trice,
you have to roll the dice.
Shall the drifters drift,
their feelings they grift?
Or shall they be thrift,
on their passion's rift?
When fate coincides,
of two souls outside,
life turned upside,
but future undecided.
The harsh reality of choice,
gives you a voice,
but in a trice,
you have to roll the dice.
Shall the drifters drift,
their feelings they grift?
Or shall they be thrift,
on their passion's rift?

Gut Feeling about Hwa Chong's system's compatiblity with me.
First, rivalry.
Rivarly is good. It introduces stress and makes me want to work hard, and to win others. This is one of the reason that i scored so well in PSLE. Because I have many enemies and rivals in Pri school and i feel that i must out perform them. So i mugged and mugged.
In TCHS, i started slacking, since i do not care about my classmates, there is no rivalry to push me on. This means that my academic results suffered. But my slackiness and lack of incentives to work on my academic subject meant that I have many free time. And that was when i found my interest in programming. Since I just don't give about my result at that time, i concentrate on developing my programming skills. Its now passion that drives me to do and achieve what i want to do or achieve. rivalry no longer means anything to me.
In year 4 after common test, i pause my programming efforts in order to concentrate and catch up with my studies, which i may say, to some success. I halfed my L1R5 score and get 10pts; only one pt more than the hyper intelligent koh poh wei. Unable to make it to HC, i found myself stranded in a school located so damn freaking far away. Anderson Junior College.
In AJ, students from various schools that i had never heard of gathered here. They are of course the cream of the schools, and wishes to stay in AJ. Of course, there are students from schools like RGS, RI and NYGH here who wishes to be in some better JC, but thats beside the point.
In AJ, people are normally not as enthu as those in HC. We slack, have fun, and sleep in lectures and never do tutorials. Infact, this is the kind of life i'm looking for, since i prefer to take it easy. Academic results and achievements no longer means anything to me, its my passion and interest that i want to pursue, as i have already found the seemingly right road that i wish to follow. Thus, academic studies to me is only as a way of not been left out in singapore's stupid education system. No one even bother about what S-papers are here, neither do they care much about PEARLS and what does P.E.A.R.L.S stand for. They don't give a damn. As long as ajcians do not do badly for their tests, they don't normally give a damn about studies anymore.
This kind of environment may not bring me to my fullest potential (in the academic sense), but it allows me more freedom in things i do and i am no longer weighted down by the need to stay competitive. Take for example, bill gates. He recognized what he was good at, and his passion and interest drove him on. He dropped out of school because an all rounded education is not what he needs. Only those who have no idea where their real talents and interests lies have to carry on staying on the train to find their destination.
Besides, it seems that JC education does actually increase your chance of finding a job. Employers look for potential employees with special talents. If everyone is following MOE's foolish all rounded education system, there will be none of those specially talented employees that companies are looking for, since everyone is equipped with the same useless skills. If everyone learns the same thing, then nobody is special.
You may see the MOE's education system as a smart system of control. Intelligent people are the most real threats to PAP's hold over singapore. Hence, they have pick out such individuals at an early age, and busy them with such impractical education system. To stay on top of other such individuals, this controlled intelligent youths have to distract themselves with cca, other unrelated subjects that they have no choice but to take, CIPs and so on... Does these things really allow such intelligent youths to have any freedom to use their own intelligent brain freely? NO! They have to occupy themselves with useless systems set up by MOE in order to proceed successfully on to higher level of studies.
By the end of all this, when they are searching for jobs, what is left is a damaged, uncreative mind which is hyper intelligent in nothing but carrying out fixed instructions in a low flexibility manner and someone who has lots of memory and can memorize tons and tons of senseless text. These are the "talents" that MOE's educational system can produce, and these are the talents that are not needed.
See the increase in foreign talents coming over to singapore to work for us? Can you see the reason why is that so? Our medias, be it newspapers, TV or radios are indirectly controlled by the government. When addressing the increase in intake of foreign talents, the media only stated that "This is to fill up empty jobs that singaporeans are not skilled enough to take." (Not a direct quotation) May i ask WHY is this so? Can't you see it now? Excelling in Singapore's Educational System only ruin you. How many university graduates actually found jobs related to what they study in U? Pitifully few. There is a large MISMATCH between the needs of the workforce, and the foolishness system of education.
How many people are taking triple sciences, ecnomomics today? MANY MANY. How many professors or specialist have you heard of that are stimulateously good at chem AND Phy AND bio? How many economist do we actually need? By making such subjects a nessarity for gaining access of higher level of education MOE wasted many intelligent student's precious time. The time could have been better spent on finding out what their real interest are, and developing them. You spend at least 6 years of your life studying and memorizing useless stuffs just so that you can pass your O lvel wif flying colours, and then your A levels. What do REALLY get? 2 pieces of paper that makes you no difference from others as everyone else has them too and a damaged, uncreative mind which is hyper intelligent in nothing but carrying out fixed instructions in a low flexibility manner and someone who has lots of memory and can memorize tons and tons of senseless text.
So, after all this rambling, should i strive for academic prefection so that i can advance to university with ease and risk potentially damaging my precious mind, or should i hold back, progress at my own pace nd pursue my own interest with freedom so that i may one day be successful in the few i'm interested in?
Both paths holds unknown dangers and risk. Hence i must really make this choice very carefully.
What should it be then? AJC? Or HCJC?

A Reflection of HC
Yahz...after near 2mths of studying in HC i tink i haf a rough idea of wat's is like here....yeahz juz writing some of the things which i feel about....note tt these are the things i feel hence i juz write down anything i tink of and hence there will be poor struture and grammer etc....(directed at Wei Kiat: dont use my reflections to make your decision). This post is going to be unlike other lame and crap post...yes this post is also crap crapped out by me...but it's quite boring....
Upon pondering over this issue, in the end i still think tt perhaps my decision to go to HC is correct...yahz...i m not sure why i choose HC in the first place...perhaps RJ will offer me a betta envt to study in, esp science which i m interested in...
The thing about HC is tt it gives very limited opportunities to only the top students....as so i appear to perceive....from the first day all the competitions, research modules etc offered were all about grades in the prelim exams....i still rmbred some teacher saying tt to apply for these programmes the min criteria is 8 pts???? Yahz...and for S-Paper it's also very competitive...u nidda rank amongst the top for ur subject....and this casts doubt about whether i wld be allow to take 2 S-Paper (my aim) by Year 2. If i were to go to NJC i m relatively sure i can take them... but in the end i decided to stay here and juz give it a try...
Stressful envt??? Of course....tt goes w/o saying....to outperform the PRCs in our class it's already an impossible task...i suppose. Yahz...but i tink S'poreans in our class are also very mugged...they finish the tutorials ahead of time, and most make a serious effort to do their hw despite being their first 3 mths...Yahz, being in CHS for 4 yrs i m quite immune to see other ppl mugging, but here in HC everyone is mugging such tt if u dont do hw for one day immediately other ppl will catch up and overtake you...and you feel so SICK when the teacher gives u a new piece of tutorial...cos u hafnt completed the old one...
Everyone coming into HC are very good in their studies, tt's w/o a doubt....Some topped their sec schls, other mugged very hard to come in herez... But after mugging so hard the ambition of everyone is exceptionally high...If u throw a stone at somebody in HC he/she will tell you tt he/she is aiming for 2 S-Paper and a scholarship to overseas university. Eh...i tink all my classmates want S-Paper...Yepz...but if u actually look at the number of ppl who will get what they want in the end....only 1/5 of students in HC will get 2 S-Papers i tink, or m i being optimistic? And most HC students WONT be getting scholarships in the end because the no. of scholarships are so limited and we have to compete with students from other JCs...Yeahz...tt speaks so much about being over ambitious etc....
Yahz...i m not sure whether i will like this sort of envt in the long run...but right now my frenz and classmates are making sure tt i cont'd to stay here...and most probably i will if results permit...right now i hafnt really worked hard yet and i m not sure if i work hard how long and how piah i can get...cos i hafnt done tt since 'O' Lvl. But because i m part of the statistic i know i must work hard also...is results the only thing HC can offer me????
If yes...there is really no point staying here, is there? I can get results from RJC and NJC also, tt makes HC not unique from other JCs. But right now i see more than results...hopefully the activities in HC will bring meaning to my life...Class spirit wise.....i m not really sure what our class can be up to...at first it seems fun but laterz....i m not sure wat our class can be up to but....
CCA....i m also unsure of what cca can provide me....Most ppl are shocked that i joined harmonica and HACAS...actually it wasnt planned, i juz chose in the end based on gut instincts about the CCA....i went for many trials and trainings for CCAs and made my judgement...and i hopez CCA can be more fun...i mean me finding a sense of belonging and achievement in it at the end of the day...Suprising PEARLS pts are no longer tt impt to me as compared to others...as long as i feel attached tt's most impt...But looking at how kiasu everyone can get...aiming for A, i tink it's time i do something....i CANT DO ANYTHING THAT"S THE PROBLEM...
I expected more from HC when i joined the schl but apparantly i turned out to be disappointed...maybe i expected too much? But it turns out that finally i will be staying in HC taking the same subjects that i m taking now...if 'O' Lvl results permit me....at least i see some meaning here now...will describe it when i feels like it...and ultimately i m as confused as everyone else so dont ask me...perhaps in the end i will put down my choice based on gut instincts...but it tells me it's HC now...perhaps i m juz too tired of doing anything now...including getting adapted to a new envt....yepz tt's all....i guess....DONT MAKE YOUR CHOICE BASED ON WHAT I HAVE WRITTEN....seriously...

Interesting article
Well....saw some interesting article specifically targeted at Wei Kiat
Contact: Sharon Lovejoysllovejoy@ucdavis.edu530-752-8363American Journal of Clinical Nutrition
High-intensity physical training improves cardiovascular fitness in obese adolescentsAfter school lifestyle education and physical training programs can benefit obese children and adolescents by altering their body compositions and providing primary prevention of cardiovascular disease. In a study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition of obese adolescents, Gutin et al. investigated whether lifestyle education by itself, or in combination with moderate- or with high-intensity physical training, provided the most significant advantages in the fitness and body composition of juveniles.
The study included eighty 13-16 year old obese boys and girls of all ethnicities who were randomly assigned to receive either after school lifestyle education classes (LSE) by themselves, LSE combined with moderate-intensity physical training, or LSE combined with high-intensity physical training over 8 months. The LSE sessions included principles of behavior modification, information about nutrition and physical activity, and problem solving and coping skills. Based on data obtained from dietary recall records and the treadmill tests, an “exercise prescription” was developed for each teenager enrolled in a physical training program. Classes were offered 5 days per week, during which most of the teenagers were transported to and from physical training by van from their school. Class sizes were kept small enough so that physical training could be closely supervised.
According to a treadmill test, adolescents enrolled in the LSE plus high-intensity physical training program improved their cardiovascular fitness profiles significantly more than did those in the LSE program alone; however, the moderate-intensity physical training group was not significantly different from either of the other groups. Body composition changes such as declines in abdominal fat and percentage body fat were also significantly greater in the high-intensity physical training group, whereas body fat percentage increased slightly in the group who received LSE alone. Bone mineral density also increased significantly in the LSE plus physical training group, which suggests that exercise has a favorable effect on bone development in growing adolescents. However, the differences between high-intensity and moderate-intensity physical training were less significant in modifying body composition in these obese adolescents.
The authors suggest that obese teenagers be advised to exercise as vigorously as they can sustain to achieve improvements in cardiovascular fitness.

Interview
Reporter: I heard you have some interesting experiences during your long-awaited and much wanted PE lesson today. Am i right?
Me: Well, firstly, PE is not much wanted. Neither is it long awaited. But indeed, I have waited very long for MOE to cancel it.
Reporter: Alright alright... What did you do in PE today anyway?
Me: The more dull thing is that today, instead of doing those amazingly long distance runs that i have finally accustomed to, the teacher changed the content of the PE lesson to a Circuit Training, which to my horror, is much much much more tiring. Indeed, it was so tiring that I vomited on the concrete after the PE lesson.
Reporter: Oh gross!
Me: Luckily, i did not eat any breakfast, and therefore i only vomit out digestive juices, which consisted of acid. I won't be surprised if whatever i vomited out has brisk effervescence of colourless odourless gas that gives white precipate in limewater, while the concrete starts dissolving.
Reporter: IC, now what about the second experience?
Me: Well... its kinda embarrassing leh..
Reporter: Just tell!
Me: Alright, today during PE we have to do chin-ups, and before that we did the circuit training. During the circuit training, the extensive activities and training made my erm.. shorts and erm erm... underwear slide quite low and the top of my erm erm...Hrmpf... Buttock was exposed. However, due to the lenght of my shirt, this went unnoticed until the chin-ups. So off i went, doing chin-ups (with some difficulty and help) not knowing that the tuf-club gals(overweight gals) are somewhere behind me, staring at my butt. When the Suckingly stupidly shitty Shaun told me about it later, i can't do anything but feel embarrassed. what is more unwanted is his overwhelming urge to advertise my miseries, (something he is quite good at) making me that if I am given a powerful C4 bomb, i'll not use it the PE department as I orignally intended, but I'll use it on Shaun instead. It will be the only only fatal explosion singapore as seen for ages.
Reporter: Alright... I see that. I guess this makes very good material for my next issue of "If you are stupid and you know it..." I thank you for your cooperation. Good bye.
Me: Hey wait... I didn't know you are going the publish this!!!

Students are Sheep(Shit)
Big Brother herds sheep
STUDENT-TRACKING DEVICE IS AN INVASION OF PRIVACY
Mercury News Editorial
An elementary school in a small California town has come up with a perverse way to keep attendance. It has given its students lanyards with electronic transmitters that can track their movements around school.
To that we say, Bah! Not as in humbug, but as in sheep.
Treat kids like sheep, with virtual bells around their necks, and pretty soon they'll start acting like them -- not like young citizens learning their rights and responsibilities.
The devices use radio frequency identification, RFID, a fancy bar-code technology that has been used to keep track of pallets, pets and, yes, livestock.
Now there are plans for more extensive and invasive uses -- passports, prisons and schools, with serious privacy implications.
The co-founder of InCom, the local company that provided Brittan Elementary with its new system, is also an employee of the school district.
Other than the clear inside connection, the reasons for installing the tags are fuzzy. The superintendent cited attendance and security as benefits.
Sensors above classroom doors record all who enter, feeding the information to a central server. The transmitters enable the school to know who's a student and who isn't -- not that you need a computer to tell you who's an outsider in Sutter, population 3,000.
But as the Northern California Civil Liberties Union has pointed out, RFID carries security risks. Strangers with their own RFID readers may be able to identify and follow kids on the way home. If the lanyards include unencrypted personal information, the world can read it.
Schools have no business imposing tracking devices on kids, certainly not without openly weighing advantages against the loss of rights. Some parents in Sutter are incensed that the district required the transmitters without seeking their permission or engaging them in a discussion.
They realize that unless they protest loudly, other districts and companies will just assume that people think it's no big deal to have their movements monitored and privacy invaded.
They're standing up for everyone's rights by refusing to have the wool pulled over their eyes.

Untitled
In the beginning,
there was nothing.
Forces of nature did its wonders,
and brought strange beings into existence.
Dinosaurs did their blunders,
while mammals are consistent.
Trees grew around one another,
they depended of each other,
while they have no father,
they certainly made no blunders.
They can't leave each other,
as they have no limps,
they stay with each other forever,
very much unlike the chimps.
Human,
the most inventive member,
they dominate the environment,
and invent ways to kill their fathers.
Unlike the woods,
they drift apart,
each to his own labour's food,
and never forget how to fuck.
They invent ways to kill themselves,
to make others suffer,
break others' soul like a shell,
and burn in hell forever.
Animals' innocence,
their dumb stupidity,
deprives them of menance,
and make them superior to us.
Us,
the intelligent beasts,
smart only at killing us,
soon after tired of mother's breasts.
PS: Personally, I don't think this is a very good poem, but this is just to express some unhappiness i feel about human beings as a whole.

The Bird
The Bird- Weikiat
On gravel pavement,
a shape of black.
Full of excitement,
in our people pack.
There it lies,
breathing heavily,
infront of our eyes,
but not at all lively.
When I hold it in my hands,
It blinked at me in innocence.
Its small little tear glands,
betrayed its confidence.
It flew,
low and quick,
disappeared as fast as dew,
in a clock tick.
As I walked on,
its innocence filled me with guilt,
for life has made me wanton,
and filled my brains with filth.

AJC
Pros: Many friends here, stress free environment, can slack, have made many friends here, want to be with these friends. Easy to score.
Cons: Kana despised by certain rivals. Must win them, I go AJC they sure laugh. Lousy facilities. Low standard.
HCJC
Pros: Got a few good good friends already there. Heard its damn fun. Hi-Tech facilities. High standard. Prestigues. Can show off to others. Can be back in the Hwa Chong Family.
Cons: Miss friends in AJC, stressFUL environment (I love to slack), cannot slack, must pia, totally alien environment.
What should i do?

The Saddened Truth
The Truth, so real,
really sad,
she's gone,
I'm not.
I really wish she's not.
No more,
after three years,
no more!
Gone! Gone! She's gone!
I feel saddened,
by this sad truth,
this senseless reality.
But fear not!
Faith has provided me better fate.
I see many things,
Many saw me.
I really opened my eyes,
In this brand new world.
I no longer need her,
She no longer needs me to need her.
This is the truth,
The Saddened Truth.
